44 student research projects from 28 universities and universities of applied sciences brought undergraduate research into the German Bundestag.
Poster im Bundestag brought undergraduate researchers from across Germany into conversation with parliamentarians, university representatives, fellow students, and invited guests.
Through scientific posters, short videos, and personal conversations, the selected students presented research addressing contemporary social, political, technological, health-related, and environmental questions.
Each contribution was selected by an independent jury.

Andrea Lindholz, Vice-President of the German Bundestag, opened Poster im Bundestag on 25 June 2026.
Following the opening programme, she visited selected posters and spoke directly with participating students about their research. These conversations brought student perspectives and emerging research questions into a parliamentary setting.
The opening programme included a panel discussion about academic freedom and student research.
Prof. Dr. Ralph Bruder joined Prof. Dr. Fatma Deniz and Adrian Grasse to discuss the importance of enabling students to develop and pursue their own research questions.
The discussion was hosted by science journalist Dr. Jan-Martin Wiarda.
Students from universities and universities of applied sciences across Germany came together in Berlin to present their research, exchange ideas across disciplines, and engage with representatives from politics and higher education.
These were grouped into eight thematic areas.
Participating students reflect on presenting their research, communicating with audiences beyond their disciplines, and exchanging ideas with political representatives and other student researchers.

Poster im Bundestag was organised by the University of Oldenburg in cooperation with the Berlin University Alliance.
Poster im Bundestag formed part of “Posters in Brussels,” an Erasmus+ project connecting bachelor’s students from European countries with political decision-makers.
Student research is presented in participating national parliaments and at the European Parliament in Brussels, supporting international knowledge exchange and dialogue.
